Share-A-Pair is a new community-wide initiative launched by GO! St. Louis, in partnership with MERS-Goodwill to collect 20,010 pairs of gently-worn shoes in 2010.

A specially-designed Shoe-Mobile receptacle, which is approximately 6’x 9’ and completely portable will be on display at area companies and select locations throughout the region through December 2010. Shoes of all types are needed to reach our goal. Donated shoes will be collected by MERS-Goodwill for distribution to outlets, which will ultimately help fund its mission to train and provide assistance to our community. Additional shoes that are not reusable will be recycled.

So clean out those closets, collect your shoes and help us reach our goal of 20,010 pairs of shoes in 2010. And we hope all this sole-talk motivates you to consider joining us at a GO! St. Louis fitness event this year.
